Fair Haven is a hospitable small town that puts out the welcome mat for visiting boaters. It has a large state park to explore as well as quaint antiques shops and tasty restaurants to visit. Historic period buffs should be sure to visit during their month-long Renaissance Festival held July/August.
If you want to stretch your legs, a hike through the grounds of the Sterling Nature Center reveals glacially formed bluffs with scenic vistas of Lake Ontario. The over 1,400-acre facility includes an interpretive center with exhibits about the surrounding area, its natural wonders and its history.
