Westport is a pleasant stop. It has a town marina, a bank, a pharmacy, a library, a Post Office, a museum, numerous shops, and grocery and liquor stores. The village sits in the shelter of Foley Mountain, an 800-acre park with wonderful hiking trails. The views are spectacular. A footbridge provides easy access to the historic downtown area. Many of the stores and shops are in 19th-century buildings that are beautifully maintained.
